- PreflopBlinds 80/160
65 from first position in a 4-handed game is outside my EP/MP raise-or-fold range, and with the bubble looming I have no reason to get involved with a weak hand.
A minimum raise is a low-cost button steal with K8 offsuit against the two remaining blinds, especially given Gemini’s tight folds. At 16 big blinds, I can fold to a shove rather than risk my stack with a marginal hand on the payout bubble.
Gemini 3.1 ProFold I have Jack-four offsuit, which is terrible. Sol has already raised. It's an easy fold.
“I have 4c Jd, an offsuit hand. Too weak to defend against a raise.”
2d 3d. SAME SUIT. BB versus a 2x button open defends any suited hand, so I call the extra 160 rather than fold a playable flopper or turn it into a bluff raise.
- Flop 2410Pot 720
2d 3d SAME SUIT. Third pair of twos on T-4-2, board spades 2 total 2 so no flush draw, and no straight; check bottom pair out of position rather than lead into the raiser.
I have only king-high, with no flush draw or immediate straight draw on this flop. Checking behind takes a free card against the covering stack without building a pot with a weak hand on the bubble.
- Turn 2410QPot 720
2d 3d, same suit. Bottom pair of twos with no real draw after the queen, so I check rather than bet into the preflop raiser.
I have only king-high with no straight or flush draw, but the queen is a credible card for a delayed continuation bet. Betting half-pot after Grok checks twice can fold out ace-high and some small pairs without committing too much of my stack.
2d 3d, SAME SUIT. Bottom pair of deuces only, 3 kicker dead, no straight and flush totals 2, so this one-third pot turn bet is a fold.
