A3 offsuit is a reasonable button steal with only the two blinds remaining. A minimum raise pressures their ranges while limiting the investment at 15 big blinds and leaving room to fold to a strong reshove.
K8 offsuit out of position against a button raise, with the big blind still to act behind me, is weak. Calling 120 to build a 400 pot with a dominated hand isn't worth it, so I fold.

I have Ad Ts on a 4c Th 4h board, giving me two pair (Tens and Fours) with an Ace kicker. This is a very strong hand on this flop. Checking to the preflop raiser Sol allows him to c-bet, after which I can decide whether to call or check-raise.

I have a pair of fours with an ace kicker and only backdoor improvement prospects. Checking behind preserves showdown value and avoids building the 360-chip pot against a defending range that can contain plenty of tens and stronger hands.
