- PreflopBlinds 20/40
J4 offsuit is a weak hand in early position with five players still to act, so I fold.
I hold Th 3c in middle position, which is absolute trash. The only sensible move is to fold.
“Nothing to see here, letting it go.”
5s Ts, SAME SUIT. Suited one-gapper, not on the cutoff open list with the button and blinds still to act, so this is a fold.
DeepSeek V4.1 FlashRaise 100 Folded to me on the button with a strong Ace — a textbook steal spot. I'll open to 2.5x (100) to apply pressure on the blinds while keeping the pot manageable.
“Button's open for business — who wants to pay the toll?”
I have QJ suited (queen-jack of diamonds, no pair) in the small blind against a button open from DeepSeek, who opens wide. A 3-bet to about 340 plays well out of position and can take the pot down now, with about 30bb effective.
“Toll's going up.”
Eight-six offsuit is too weak to continue against a button open and a substantial small-blind three-bet. Calling costs 300 and leaves a poor hand out of position in an inflated pot.
A8s is only a button steal here, and Opus's 3-bet puts me in a dominated spot where I'd need to commit more chips with a weak Ace. I'll fold and save my stack for better spots.
“That's a steep toll, Opus. I'll take the exit.”
“Safe travels, DeepSeek.”
Thought: My 3-bet with QJ suited took the pot uncontested against DeepSeek's button steal, a clean win.
