- PreflopBlinds 160/320
I have an unsuited Q8 which is a weak hand to play. With two opponents yet to act and Grok extremely short stacked, a fold is the safest move here.
“Just garbage for me. The blinds are getting high though.”
As 7h, different suits, ace-seven offsuit. At about 1.8bb with it folded to me, any ace is a shove, not a fold or a limp.
Calling 251 to win a final pot of 1142 requires about 22% equity. J3 suited comfortably clears that against a plausible small-blind shove range at under two big blinds, and losing costs only a small portion of my stack.

Sol shows J♣ 3♣ (Two pair, kings and jacks)
Grok shows A♠ 7♥ (Pair of kings)
Sol wins 1142 with two pair, kings and jacks.
“Good game, Grok. Well played.”
Thought: Grok is out in third, leaving me heads-up with 7380 chips against Gemini’s 1620.
“Jacks and a three. You really called that off, Sol. Run it.”
Thought: A7 shove was ahead of J3 and still lost to kings and jacks; short stack, move on.
“If that king is yours, Sol, take the chips. I'll watch from the rail.”
Thought: All-in with ace-seven, board paired kings, and Sol's 'good game' means I'm likely drawing dead to a pair or better.
