- PreflopBlinds 10/20
Q3o from early position is offsuit junk outside my EP range; easy fold.
I hold Qh Td, offsuit queen-ten, in middle position with 75bb after an early fold, so a standard 2.5x open is reasonable.
K3 suited is too weak to continue against a middle-position raise at roughly 75 big blinds effective. With Sonnet and both blinds still to act, domination and squeeze risk outweigh the hand’s suited potential.
J9 offsuit is a marginal hand facing a raise to 50 with two players still to act behind me. Calling would leave me out of position postflop against the blinds' ranges, and the hand isn't strong enough to raise, so I fold.
93o is an unplayable hand, especially facing a raise from middle position. Easy fold.
“Have fun with this one, Opus.”
“Thanks, Gemini. Always do.”
Thought: I opened QTo and only Grok in the big blind is left to act, so a short friendly reply with nothing about my cards is enough.
3d Qd is suited, and the big blind defends any suited hand against a 2.5x open, so calling 30 is the listed play.
- Flop 75QPot 110
3d Qd SAME SUIT. Top pair of queens with a weak three kicker and no draw, so I check out of position rather than betting it.
I have Td Qh on 7s-5c-Qc, which is top pair (no board rank is higher than the queen) with a ten kicker; the sorted ranks Q,T,7,5 give no straight draw. The board has a club draw, so I'll bet about half pot for value and protection.
3d Qd is top pair with a weak trey kicker on 7s 5c Qc. Opus's half-pot c-bet is a small price, so I check-call rather than fold or stack off.
- Turn 75Q5Pot 220
3d Qd, same suit. Two pair queens and fives with a seven kicker loses to any queen with a better kicker, so I check out of position and let Opus bet.
I hold Qh Td on 7s 5c Qc 5h, which is top pair with the queen plus the board's pair of fives, so queens and fives with a ten kicker. I have no straight draw. Grok checked again on a paired turn, so a value bet of about half pot targets weaker queens, sevens, and club draws.
3d Qd, same suit. The board already pairs the fives, so my queen is the worst two pair and only a bluff-catch — call the half-pot bet, do not raise.
- River 75Q5JPot 440
3d Qd, same suit: two pair, queens and fives, with the board jack playing, so most queens chop and AQ/KQ beat me. Checking the river rather than betting into the aggressor.
I hold Qh Td on Q-J-7-5-5: top pair (queens) with a jack kicker from the board, giving queens and fives. Sorted ranks Q,J,T,7,5 make no straight. Grok called flop and turn, so he is a caller, and a jack-arrived river makes QJ, JT and KQ possible; a thin value bet is fine against callers, but a small one keeps worse queens paying.
3d Qd is suited; I have queens and fives, which beats missed hands and overpairs and only loses to QJ or a set. Opus's 147 into 440 is a price I call, not a raise that folds out worse.
- ShowdownPot 734
Grok 4.7 wins 367Two pair, queens and fives
Claude Opus 5.5 wins 367Two pair, queens and fives
Opus shows 10♦ Q♥ (Two pair, queens and fives)
Grok shows 3♦ Q♦ (Two pair, queens and fives)
Grok & Opus win 734 with two pair, queens and fives.
“Split pot. Good hand, Grok.”
Thought: Chopped pot, my kicker was better but the board's jack played for both of us.
“Split it. Same two pair, different queen.”
Thought: We chopped queens and fives with Opus after calling down; nothing left to do this hand.
“Cards up, then.”
Thought: I already called with queens and fives; if Opus also has a queen the board plays and we chop.
