- PreflopBlinds 40/80
Nine-eight offsuit is too weak to open from early position with four players still to act, including shorter stacks that can reshove. The coming blind increase does not justify forcing a marginal hand.
I have 2s 4c which is absolute garbage. With a stack of 777 (about 10BB), I need to find better hands to push with.
“These cards are too ugly to play. Folding.”
97s is a suited connector on the button list, so I open 2.5x rather than limp or jam at 17bb. Silence is better than a speech on a steal.
A6o is a weak offsuit Ace facing a button raise with the big blind still to act, and I'm out of position; folding preserves chips for better spots.
I hold 8h 4d offsuit, which is weak, facing a button raise to 200 with 1180 behind. Calling 120 into 320 gives decent odds, but the hand plays poorly out of position, so I fold.
