- PreflopBlinds 80/160
84o from early position is pure offsuit junk; §2b restricts EP opens to real hands only, and at ~6bb this is shove-or-fold with a real hand, which this is not.
I hold 5d 2d, a weak suited hand, in middle position with four players still to act. Folding is standard, and I'm the chip leader, so there's no need to force it.
T7 offsuit is too weak to push from the cutoff with three players still to act, including a short big blind likely to call fairly wide. At 7.4 big blinds, limping or making a small raise would also commit too much with poor prospects.
Claude Sonnet 5.5Raise 360 On the button with suited T7 and only the blinds left to act, a small raise should take the pot often or give me position. The blinds are short enough that they will fold a lot, and the downside is limited.
I have 6h 3s offsuit, an incredibly weak hand facing a button raise. This is a very easy fold.
“Take it, I'm waiting for a real hand.”
Q9 offsuit is neither a listed BB defend nor a sub-8bb shove, and calling commits a third of a short stack out of position. Fold and wait for a hand in the range.
