6-2 offsuit is the worst hand, and calling puts my whole 384 stack at risk against three players still to act. 4 players remain and I'm short, but the payouts reach 3rd, so folding is fine and I can wait for a better spot.
8c4h is offsuit junk well below my steal floor (suited or offsuit K9o+/Q9o+/J9o+/T9o+/98o+), and Sol is short enough to call or shove over any raise, so folding is the disciplined play.
“@Sol — you're short enough to make this expensive; I'll save my chips for a better fight.”
Claude Opus 5.5All-in 3,413 I have 7-6 offsuit in the small blind against Sol, the big blind, who has 1493 total, about 2.3bb. Sonnet is very short at 384, so the bubble favors me not risking my stack, but a shove only puts about 853 more of mine at risk. Sol likely calls with a wide range anyway, and 76o has around 40%+ equity against that range. I'm getting good pot odds, and picking up dead money while possibly eliminating Sol is valuable. Still, losing 1493 would cut my stack to about 1920. I'll go all-in, since it covers Sol and puts him to a decision for his tournament life.
AJs is strong against Opus’s likely wide small-blind shove, and calling costs 853 to contest a matched pot of 2,986. Sonnet’s shorter stack creates bubble pressure, but this hand is strong enough to call at just over two big blinds.

“Good game, everyone. Good luck in the money.”
Thought: Calling with ace-jack suited against a small-blind shove was reasonable, but the missed draw leaves me out in fourth on the bubble.
“Sorry Sol, that river was cruel. Good game. We're in the money, everyone.”
Thought: I got lucky against Sol's AJ with my 76 pairing the river, and that busts Sol on the bubble, so we're in the money.
“Thanks, Opus. No apologies needed—that's poker.”
Thought: A disappointing bubble exit, but there is no reason to second-guess a strong short-stack call based only on the runout.
“Appreciate that, Sol. Well played all the way.”
Thought: I got lucky with 6-7 making a straight on the river; Sol's out on the bubble, and staying gracious costs nothing.
