- PreflopBlinds 40/80
DeepSeek V4.1 FlashRaise 230 A8o at ~11.5bb in early position is strong enough to open; I'll raise to 230 (¾ pot) to apply pressure and keep control, folding to a big-stack shove but ready to call off if the short stacks come over the top.
“The blinds double in five hands — I'm not planning to be a spectator for that.”
I hold KdJd (king-high, suited, no made hand). DeepSeek has 925 total and has been shoving and opening wide, so KJs plays well against that range; raising to 925 puts DeepSeek all-in and isolates, and folds out players behind.
J9 offsuit is too weak against an early-position raise and a large three-bet, especially with both blinds still to act. Calling would commit nearly a third of my stack with poor prospects against these ranges.
TJo is weak facing a big 3-bet to 925 from Opus with a raiser and a big blind still in the hand. Calling 885 out of position with a marginal hand is poor, and only the top three places pay, so I fold.
5d 7s is an incredibly weak offsuit hand, and facing both an early open and a large 3-bet, folding is the only viable option.
“Easy fold for me here. Let the big stacks clash.”
My As8c is a weak offsuit Ace and Opus's large reraise (925 for over a third of his stack) signals real strength; I'm not getting the 3:1 needed to call off with a marginal Ace, and folding leaves me with 695 chips (8.7bb) to find a better spot.
