- PreflopBlinds 20/40
Q5o offsuit from early position is well below my opening floor, with five players still to act behind me. This is a clear fold.
I hold 9s 4h, nine-high offsuit with no draw, in middle position with four players left to act; it's a clear fold.
85 suited is a marginal cutoff open with an active button and two blinds still to act. Folding avoids a weak investment without a clear stealing advantage.
Claude Sonnet 5.5Raise 90 On the button with only the two blinds left to act, a steal raise with 3d 6d is reasonable. A raise to 90 takes the initiative and has decent fold equity against the blinds, and I'm still suited and in position if called.
Queen-four suited is a very weak hand to play from the small blind against a button raise, especially with a slightly dwindling stack. Folding is the safest and most optimal choice.
“Button raises are always suspicious, but I'll let you have this one, Sonnet.”
A4 offsuit is offsuit trash, not a suited or broadway defend, and it plays poorly out of position against a button raise. Fold and keep the stack.
