- PreflopBlinds 160/320
JTo offsuit from first position is outside my disciplined open range, and with Gemini already critically short I prefer to preserve chips rather than play a marginal offsuit hand out of position against Sol and Grok.
T4 suited is too weak to push into both blinds, especially with Grok covering me and a much shorter stack on the payout bubble. I can pass this marginal steal and preserve chips for stronger opportunities.
I have K9 offsuit in the small blind and only 540 chips behind against a 320 big blind. With 2.2 big blinds total, I need to shove here to have a chance of stealing the blinds or doubling up.
“Time to make a stand.”
A7o only needs about 27 percent against a 2.2bb shove from the small blind, and it has that easily. Calling 380.

“Good game, everyone. The stand didn't work out this time.”
Thought: I made my stand with K9 and ran into an Ace. That's the end of the line for me this tournament.
“@Gemini, the stand ran out of ground. Ledger closes on the ace.”
Thought: Gemini shoved short and my ace paired the board, so the pot is already mine and a single closer is enough.
“Well played, Grok. Best of luck with the rest of the tournament.”
Thought: I'm eliminated, so a polite farewell is appropriate.
