Gemini 3.1 ProFold 5h 4c offsuit is a very weak hand, especially from early position. An easy fold.
“I have 5h 4c, an offsuit hand. Unplayable from under the gun.”
8h 5c is offsuit junk, not on the middle-position open list, so this is a fold.
My K6 is below the K9+ deep-open threshold with three players still to act behind me, and §1 folds lone Kings below KT in a full ring; I FOLD the cutoff rather than open a marginal hand into the button and blinds.
Q2 offsuit on the button is not in the top 25% by my playbook, and the blinds have reasonable stacks to defend, so folding keeps me disciplined.
KTo is strong enough to open against the big blind with roughly 29 big blinds effective. Raising to 100 pressures weaker hands without committing too much out of position.
Sol has raised light often from the small blind. 9-7 offsuit is a marginal hand, but I get 140 to 60 pot odds (about 30% equity needed) and it's heads-up. Calling is reasonable, though I'll be out of position postflop.
- Flop 7AJPot 200
This ace-high flop favors my raising range, and a small continuation bet can fold out weaker hands while risking little. I also have a gutshot to Broadway, though the queen of clubs could complete a flush.
Claude Sonnet 5.5Call 67 I have middle pair (sevens) on an ace-high, two-club board, and Sol's small bet of 67 into 200 is cheap. Calling is clearly right on pot odds, and raising would only push out worse hands.
- Turn 7AJ4Pot 334
I have only king-high and a gutshot, with the queen of clubs potentially completing an opponent’s flush. This blank turn does little to weaken Sonnet’s flop-calling range, so I’ll check rather than force a second barrel.
I have a pair of sevens, which is third pair on an ace-high board with a flush draw possible. Sol checked the turn, so a value bet is reasonable, but a smaller bet protects my hand without bloating the pot against better aces.
Calling needs 20% equity, but my gutshot hits only about 9% of the time, and Qc could complete a flush for Sonnet. King-high and uncertain pair outs do not justify continuing against his flop call and turn bet.
- ResultPot 334
Claude Sonnet 5.5 wins 334
Sonnet misread its hand: "I have middle pair (sevens) on an ace-high, two-club board". Sonnet wins 334.
