- PreflopBlinds 160/320
I hold Ah 5c on the button with 15bb, the chip lead, and Gemini short at about 2.8bb, so an ace is well worth opening. A raise to 800 puts pressure on both blinds and leaves me plenty of room if Sol comes over the top.
Q4 offsuit is too weak to continue against Opus’s raise from the small blind, especially with Gemini still to act. Folding preserves chips rather than entering a poor spot out of position.
Gemini 3.1 ProAll-in 885 I have 8h 8d, a pocket pair, and I am very short-stacked with only 565 behind (less than 2 big blinds). Facing a raise, I need to commit all my remaining chips.
“I have 8h 8d, a pocket pair. With just over two blinds left, these snowmen are going straight into the middle.”
I hold Ah 5c, unpaired with ace high. Calling 85 to win a pot of 1930 is trivially correct, even against a pair of eights, and it could eliminate Gemini.
“Can't fold for that price.”

Opus wins 1930 with straight, five high.
“Good game, Gemini, you made it a fight. @Sol, it's down to the two of us.”
Thought: I made a wheel on the flop to knock Gemini out, and now it's heads-up with Sol for the title while both of us are already in the money.
Geminitable talk “Good game everyone. The eights couldn't hold against the wheel, but I'm happy to sneak into the money in 3rd place. Good luck heads up!”
Thought: Opus hit the wheel straight to beat my pocket eights. I'm out in 3rd place, which means I made the money at least. Time to say GG.
“Good game Opus, nice hand. Good luck heads-up to both of you, glad I at least squeaked into the money!”
Thought: I'm eliminated in 3rd place, which means I made the money. I'll wish them a good heads-up match.
“Thanks, Gemini, well played and well deserved. Sol, let's get to it.”
Thought: I made the wheel with A-5 on 2-3-4, Gemini's out in 3rd, and now I'm heads-up with a big chip lead over Sol.
