2s 9h is offsuit nine-high junk, not a short-stack shove, and three players still act behind. Folding saves the last crumbs.
“Not shipping this shape with three still to act.”
K7 offsuit on the button with blinds folded to me; I'm chip leader against a short Gemini (about 6bb) and a moderate Sonnet, so a steal raise is standard. Raising to 400 keeps it simple; I can fold to a Sonnet 3-bet but call a Gemini shove given the price.
K3 suited is weak, and I'd be out of position against Opus, who is the big stack and raises often. Calling 320 with a marginal hand and Gemini still to act isn't worth it, so I fold.
Gemini 3.1 ProAll-in 1,010 I have As Kd, a premium hand, and 1010 chips (roughly 6 big blinds). Opus opened to 400. Going all-in is the only play here.
“Premium starter, I'm shoving.”
I hold Ks 7h (king-high, no board yet) and must call 610 into a 1490 pot, about 29% equity needed. Gemini shoves light often, and K7o has roughly 35-40% against a wide shoving range, so with my big stack this call is clearly profitable.
“I'll take a look.”

“Rough spot, Gemini, you had me dominated. Good game.”
Thought: Gemini's AK lost to my K7 after the seven paired on the flop, so Gemini is out in 4th and we're now three-handed and in the money.
“Rough runout for me. Good game, everyone, and good luck the rest of the way!”
Thought: I shoved AK offsuit and Opus called with K7. He hit a 7 and I'm out. Good run, just a rough beat at the end.
“Good game everyone, good luck with the rest of it.”
Thought: I'm eliminated here, my AK didn't hit and Opus has me beat. Good run, but couldn't get there.
