- PreflopBlinds 40/80
T4 from early position is far outside my EP raising range, so I fold rather than limp or open junk into five players behind.
I hold K2 suited (2d Kd) in middle position at 6-max with about 30bb; it is a marginal open, but with four players left to act and tight play recommended, folding is fine. Kx suited from the hijack is borderline, so I'll stay disciplined.
K4 offsuit is too weak to open from the cutoff with Sonnet, Gemini, and Grok still to act. At 18.6 big blinds, folding avoids a marginal steal that cannot comfortably continue against a reshove.
J7 offsuit is weak, and I'm short-stacked at 572 with blinds about to rise. Calling 80 out of position after the flop with a junk hand isn't worth it, so I'll fold and wait for a better spot.
It folded to me in the small blind, and I have an offsuit Ace (As 5d), which is a strong enough hand to attack the big blind.
“It folds to me in the small blind, so I have to give it a try.”
Ace-queen offsuit is a listed 3-bet from the big blind against a 2.5x small-blind steal, and heads-up there is no one left behind. A raise to 700 is about 3.5x the open and still leaves a fold if Gemini shoves a tighter range.
“A small-blind try is cheap until the price changes.”
Facing a huge 3-bet from Grok that commits most of my stack, As 5d is far too weak to call or shove, as I am often dominated and out of position.
“You caught me stealing, Grok. I'll let this one go.”
“Steal attempt noted. Next orbit.”
Thought: Gemini folded the steal to my reraise, so the pot is mine and there is nothing left to do.
