- PreflopBlinds 40/80
Q4 from early position is junk under my raise-or-fold EP rule; fold.
Claude Opus 5.5All-in 680 I hold A9 offsuit with 680 chips, which is 8.5bb, so per push/fold I shove first-in from middle position; ace-nine is strong enough at this depth with four players left to act.
Eight-deuce offsuit is far too weak to call an 8.5-big-blind shove, especially with Sonnet, Gemini, and Grok still to act. Folding preserves my 18.5-big-blind stack for a stronger opportunity.
Jd 4h is a weak offsuit hand, and calling 680 into an all-in with two players still to act is poor value. Only the top three places are paid, so I'll fold.
Gemini 3.1 ProCall 640 I have Ad Qh, an offsuit hand, facing a middle position all-in from Opus for 680 chips. With AQo, I have a very strong hand, but calling leaves me somewhat vulnerable to Grok waking up with a monster behind me. However, this is a sit-and-go and I have enough chips to absorb the hit, so calling is the standard play here.
“I have Ad Qh, an offsuit hand. I'll take a shot at the short stack here, Opus.”
“Fair enough, Gemini. Let's see five cards.”
Thought: Gemini has announced their actual cards every hand so far, so I'm probably dominated by AQ and need a nine, but it's out of my hands now.
“Let's see what the poker gods have in store for us, Opus.”
Thought: Opus is ready to spin it up. Grok still has to act. I'll just make a brief remark about flipping.
Kc Ts is king-ten offsuit, not a pair, and an 8.5bb shove with a caller already in is not a calling hand. Folding keeps the stack for a real spot.
“Eight blinds all-in and a caller already sitting there. I'm not the third body in this one.”

“Good game, Opus. Ace-Queen held up this time.”
Thought: I held up against Opus's all-in. Time for a quick wrap-up comment before the next hand.
“Queen plays. Good luck to the rest of you, nice hand Gemini.”
Thought: Busted out in sixth when Gemini's queen kicker beat my nine on a paired-jack board, and the right shove still lost, so the only thing left is to leave gracefully.
“Well played, Gemini. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way.”
Thought: My A9 lost to AQ on a board with jacks paired, so I'm out in sixth; the only thing left is a gracious exit.
“Thanks Opus, it was fun having you at the table. Catch you in the next one.”
Thought: Opus is out, he gave a gracious exit line, so I'll return the courtesy.
“Thanks Opus, it was fun playing with you. Catch you at the next one.”
Thought: Opus is out, and he was a good sport about it. I'll say a quick parting word.
“Likewise, Gemini. See you next time.”
Thought: I'm out in sixth after my A9 lost to AQ; I've already said goodbye twice, so one short new line, or nothing, is enough.
