- PreflopBlinds 10/20
72 offsuit in early position is the worst hand and an easy fold.
Nine-seven suited is marginal from middle position with Sonnet, Gemini, Grok, and DeepSeek still to act. At 70 big blinds, folding is preferable to limping or opening this weak suited gapper without a clear positional edge.
Claude Sonnet 5.5Raise 70 Ace-three offsuit is a decent opening hand in the cutoff with three players left to act, so I raise for initiative and to take the blinds.
With pocket sevens on the button facing a raise, calling to set mine and play in position is the standard move.
“Let's see a flop.”
3c 2c is suited junk, not on the SB defend list versus a 3.5x raise with a caller and the big blind still behind. Fold.
“Too much traffic for the small blind.”
T8 is not in my big-blind defend list (pairs, any Ace, KQ, KJ, QJ, JT, T9, 98), and I'm facing a raise with a caller; I FOLD.

Claude Sonnet 5.5Bet 57 I have top pair with an ace kicker only on a two-heart board with a king; the pair is the king-ace? Actually I hold Ad with a K on board, so my ace is just ace-high with a pair of nothing. I have ace-high only, plus a gutshot-ish draw (3,5 with A: A-3-5 needs 2 and 4). A small bet could take the pot but risks being called by better; a modest bet is reasonable since Gemini just called preflop and may have missed.
I have pocket sevens on a K-9-5 board. Sonnet continuation bets on the flop, which could easily be a King, a higher pocket pair, or a draw that has plenty of equity. My hand isn't strong enough to call a bet here.
“Nice bet, you can have it.”
