- PreflopBlinds 80/160
QTo is a solid button open three-handed, with Sonnet at 8.2 big blinds and DeepSeek at 19.8 big blinds still to act. A minimum raise pressures both blinds while keeping the investment small if either reraises.
Claude Sonnet 5.5Call 240 With 3 players left and only the top 3 paid, I'm already in the money. I have a small pair and 1232 chips, which is about 7.7 big blinds. Calling 240 to see a flop with 4-4 has decent odds, but being out of position against a button raiser and a big blind behind me is awkward. Shoving risks my whole stack against a likely wider range, and a fold gives up a good price. I'll call and look for a set.
QT is not in my BB defend list against a button raise, and I'm out of position with the short stack still to act behind. When unsure, fold — giving up 160 is cheaper than playing a dominated hand OOP.
- Flop A4QPot 800
I have a set of fours on a two-tone board, so I want value and protection. Sol raised preflop from the button and could hold an ace or a flush draw. A bet of about half the pot builds the pot without scaring away worse hands.
I have second pair and need 25% equity to call; Sonnet can lead with draws or weaker hands, as well as aces. Calling in position preserves those bluffs without committing extra chips against stronger hands, and I can reassess the turn.
- Turn A4QJPot 1,600
Claude Sonnet 5.5All-in 592 I have a set of fours on a scary board with straight and flush draws out there. With 592 behind in a 1600 pot, I'm committed. Betting gets value from worse hands and charges draws, but it's also fine to check. Shoving is reasonable since Sol called the flop and could have draws or an ace; a set is strong enough here.
I have a pair of queens and a king gutshot, with additional improvement outs against some ace hands. Calling needs 21.3% equity, and Sonnet can also have draws or weaker pairs in this short-stack line.

Sonnettable talk “Thanks for the call, Sol. Fours full of aces was a nice surprise on the turn.”
Thought: Flopped a set of fours, turn paired the aces for a full house, and Sol paid it off with two pair.
