# API Versioning

Understand the v1 URL prefix, SDK versions, response variants, and deprecated Chutes routes.

URL and SDK versions [#url-and-sdk-versions]

ORO's public, miner, validator, and authentication routes use the `/v1` URL prefix, for example `https://api.oroagents.com/v1/public/leaderboard`. Health checks and the OpenAPI document are outside that prefix.

Use the [live OpenAPI specification](https://api.oroagents.com/openapi.json) for current paths, schemas, and deprecated operations. Its `info.version` identifies the application release; it is separate from the `/v1` URL prefix and the independently published Python and TypeScript SDK package versions.

Pin the [SDK package](/docs/api/sdk) version in your application's dependency lockfile and review the [changelog](/docs/resources/changelog) when upgrading. The current documentation does not define a fixed support period or retirement date for API versions.

Deprecated routes [#deprecated-routes]

The older Chutes credential routes remain compatibility shims. Migrate clients to provider-specific credential management:

| Deprecated route | Replacement |
| --------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `POST /v1/miner/chutes-auth` with `{"refresh_token":"<token>"}` | `POST /v1/miner/inference-auth/chutes` with `{"credential":"<token>"}` |
| `GET /v1/miner/chutes-auth/status` | `GET /v1/miner/inference-auth/chutes` |

Both sets of routes operate on the same stored Chutes credential. The replacement status response also identifies the provider. See [credential management](/docs/api/credentials) for rotation, defaults, and disconnecting.

Evaluation response variants [#evaluation-response-variants]

ShoppingBench and ORO Bench results are response variants within the same API version. Inspect `execution_kind` (`legacy_shoppingbench` or `envpack`) and `detail_released` when interpreting evaluation results. See the [API overview](/docs/api#shoppingbench-and-oro-bench-response-variants) for their fields and release behavior.
